Vince Gassi received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and later studied composing and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, California. While there, he was a student of the internationally renowned trumpet player and brass teacher, Claude Gordon. In addition to his many years as a private brass instructor, Vince has taught Instrumental Music at the elementary and secondary school levels.

He enjoys composing for any and all types of musical ensembles and his works include publications by Alfred Publishing, Eighth Note Publications and Harknett Music Publishing. Vince has received commissions from state Honor Bands, university ensembles, and symphony orchestras. He is Composer in Residence for the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra and his works have also been performed by the Georgian Bay Symphony, the Mississauga Symphony and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.

Recently, Vince has begun writing for television and film. He has four short films to his credit and commercials for Scouts Canada, Energy Management and Technical Systems Ltd., and EZ Off Software.

Currently, he teaches at Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School in Toronto, Canada.
