Set in four movements, this challenging work for brass or woodwind quintet musically explores various geometric concepts. The titles of each movement (Displacement, Parallels, Increments, and Obtusis Angularis) aptly describe the thematic development contained therein. Quartal harmony, tone clusters and intricately written melodies give this suite a delightfully fresh sound.
Bongo beats and bari sax bass lines combine to bring out the best in your sax quartet. This cookin tune features the bongo player in an ad lib solo and the baritone sax player vying for the spotlight with cool blues licks and a hip walking bass line. The rest of the ensemble joins in the fun to make this trifle a high impact escapade.
Here is a hot little latin number to spice things up. Start with one part cool tune, mix in some lush harmonies, toss in a unison ensemble part, a written solo, a funky intro and voila, an audience favourite. 3:30

Trills and frills abound in this decorative arrangement of O Canada for 3 flutes. All parts are constantly on the move which means that there's never a dull moment. Wanna have some fun? Of course you do! And there's plenty enough for all in this new adventure for young malleteers. A catchy tune, exotic harmonies and lilting rhythmic grooves will carry you across the horizon into the mystical realm of genies, wizards and sorcery. So turn that frown upside down, pick up a mallet or two and let this one cast a spell on you. You never know when you'll run into a marimba-xylo-bongophone!!
Simple is best. This ultra-cool event for percussion ensemble is a soothing escape from life's complexities. Based on the blues, it has a few harmonic twists thrown in for good measure and... there follow some good measures indeed, for all, I say ALL parts are interesting, easy and everyone gets to soliloquize. This one is not easy to describe because... Um... It's Complicated!! (Oboe part not included).
When it comes to Percussion Ensembles, talk is not cheap, it's essential! Featuring an impressive array of things to hit, this "way cool" piece for things pitched and un-pitched will give percussionists and non-percussionists alike much to talk about. Grooves, moves, and mallet Blues; it's all good. So gather your posse now and just tell them to beat it!
